Toye Kenning & Spencer is based on two main sites - Birmingham and Bedworth, supported by our satellite operation in London.
Birmingham
Toye’s factory in Birmingham’s historic jewellery quarter is home to the group’s metal manufacturing. Every stage in the manufacture of a metal product takes place here - from initial concept and design to tool and die making, stamping or casting, vitreous enamelling, polishing and mounting and engraving. Products include medals, badges and buttons, insignia and regalia, jewellery and cufflinks, model soldiers cast in pewter, presentation cups for sporting organisations and commemorative plaques. This factory is the original craft workshop co-operative re-engineered for 21st century production.
Bedworth
The group’s textile production is in Bedworth, near Coventry, once the capital of Britain’s weaving industry. Here Toye specialises in narrow fabric weaving, manufacturing miles of coloured ribbons, braids and laces for military, home security, club, association, school and fashion markets worldwide. Bedworth also has particular expertise in hand and machine embroidery, and making crafted hats and caps for the military, home security, corporate, sports and show business markets. Customers range from the MOD and overseas defence forces, to international fashion houses, sporting organisations and local schools.
London
The company’s London showroom is opposite Freemason’s Hall in Great Queen Street. A large selection of masonic merchandise and literature is always in stock. The shop also sells a wide range of giftware including silver, cut-crystal, clocks and watches, cufflinks and jewellery. The lower ground floor show room is designed specifically for corporate, trade and club customers. Toye Kenning & Spencer Limited have been official Plate Jewellers to the Corporation of the City of London since 1978.
